What is ChangeUp?

Improving support to the Voluntary and Community Sector

ChangeUp is a Government programme, aimed at supporting the development of the Voluntary and Community Sector over the next ten years. The programme aims to strengthen those Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations (known as ‘infrastructure organisations’) who provide support and information services to frontline Voluntary and Community Organisations (known as ‘the sector’).

ChangeUp is divided into regional, sub-regional and local programmes. ChangeUp Greenwich exists to develop the capacity of, and consolidate cohesion between, second-tier voluntary organisations in Greenwich who deliver services to the voluntary and community sector (the Sector). It’s a local programme and receives funding from a variety of sources to improve the services offered by infrastructure organisations within the Borough. The services, and gaps in service provision, have been identified and feed into the 10-year plan. The plan is reviewed on an ongoing basis to ensure that changes in the Sector are reflected.
