GCDA exists to develop communities by:
- Developing models of social and co-operative enterprise that are economically sustainable
- Supporting organisations to enhance social responsibility
- Creating initiatives of self-help in the community to close gaps in health inequalities
- Improve access and use of local green spaces and connect communities to nature and environmental sustainability
Any other additional information that is not covered above:
GCDA has operated in Greenwich for the past 25 years. Over the past year, the organisation had moved into a more regional basis on food access to ensure strategic repositioning and obtain sustainable funding and income generation. However, we are still heavily involved and feel passionate about local issues and communities.

The London & Quadrant Group is one of 2,000 housing associations that work in the UK. Our main purpose is to provide high quality, affordable homes. We currently manage approximately 3,000 homes in Greenwich borough.
L&Q residents are varied. Most families are on low incomes and usually come to us from the local council lists of those who need housing.
We manage over 60,000 homes and although most are in Greater London, we also work all over South East England.
Other things we do include:
- Running sheltered and supported homes (L&Q Supported Living)
- Building new homes and refurbishing old ones
- Providing accommodation for key workers, like nurses and hospital staff
- Helping people on lower incomes buy homes through shared ownership
- Helping with community projects through Quadrant Community Investment, our specialist community development section.
All our work is about creating places where people want to live. We also believe in getting best value so that our residents
get the best level of service possible from us. Encouraging equal opportunities is central to everything we do.
London & Quadrant is an Industrial & Provident Society and has charitable status. If you'd like to know more about our
rents, services and other facts and figures, visit www.lqgroup.org.uk
London and Quadrant Housing Trust has a dedicated team that specialise in community development and resident participation
work. The aim of the Neighbourhood Investment Team is to develop the skills of local people and their ability to take an
active role within the community. Our team has supported a number of community and voluntary organisations and individuals
to make a difference to the places we live and the people that live in them.
If you have any ideas for new projects, community events, courses or training, improving the environment, issues of safety or any
